On a rainy Monday afternoon in February, Naomi, Lucy and I ventured to Greenwich in search of some afternoon tea; it was Naomi's initiation into our Monday Funday club. I assured the ladies that the rain would clear in 5 minutes and it would then be a sunny afternoon, I have gifts for forecasting the weather :)
Greenwich is one of my favourite places in London, and once we had parked up we wandered through the park towards the smell of cake!
The cafe we choose in the end was 'Biscuit' which is one where you can paint ceramics while you eat cake and drink tea - what more can you really ask for on a Monday afternoon (especially when you have just finished a run of night shifts). So we choose the mugs we wanted to paint and ordered our tea and scones - cause we are posh like that ;) - we found a table, choose our paints and got to work.
I painted a mug for Naomi, Naomi painted one for Lucy and Lucy painted one for me.
I ended up getting so engrossed in painting my mug I forgot about my tea and ended up drinking cold tea, if this is the only downside of the afternoon I think I can safely say it was a very successful Monday Funday Day.
I must say our finished mugs were 'amazing', and of course mine was the best - but ssssh don't tell the others ;)
We said goodbye to our mugs as we handed them over to be glazed and arranged to pick them up in a weeks time.
We were then treated to this wonderful view of the London skyline as we walked back to the car.
It was another brilliant Monday Funday and I can't wait for the next one :)
