Ok so I have been rubbish recently at keeping my blog up to date, but I am going to try harder I promise :)
Now take your minds back to the bank holiday Monday at the start of May, and if you were in London you may remember that it was a really lovely, warm day. So myself and some of my mates decided it would be a good idea to travel the short journey south of the River Thames to Greenwich for a chilled out day in the park.
We decided to park the car just to the north of the Thames and walk through the foot tunnel to Greenwich. I can't remember the last time I walked through the foot tunnel to Greenwich, but it must have been more than 12 years ago (now that makes me feel old lol!).
Our first stop in Greenwich was of course the food market to grab some lunch, which we then ate in the park. The next stop was an ice cream shop for yet more food - I had some lovely mango and passionfruit sorbet, which was the perfect accompaniment to the warm sunshine.
I don't know if any of you have seen Got to Dance on Sky 1, but last year there was a dance crew on there called IMD who are from London and they are brilliant; and they just happened to be fundraising in Greenwich Park and so we were lucky enough to see them dance live :)
The rest of the day was spent just chilling in park and playing frisbee. There were also some fitness challenges, because they seemed like a good idea at the time :) - including a sit up challenge, plank challenge and sumo squat challenge. The lads may also have highjacked a cricket game that was taking place between a group of lads nearby, as you do in East London!
Cause we hadn't had enough to eat, a few of us decided to end the evening in Byron for burgers, but they had run out of chicken (crazy I know), so no burger for me :)
Great bank holiday Monday :)
