The market runs the length of Columbia Rd and has lots of stalls where you can buy a wide range of plants and flowers. The atmosphere is amazing and one to behold, with all the stall holders shouting out the deals they have and having a laugh with the customers. There are also some cafes and shops to visit, so there is every opportunity to grab a coffee and a slice of cake.

Here are a few tips I have for you if you are thinking of visiting the flower market:

• Get there early as it gets very busy - the market and shops open at 8am and are open until around 3ish in the afternoon.
• Take some strong carrier bags so you can carry home all your amazing plants.
• Make sure you have cash on you, there are cash machines nearby but the queues can be quite long especially during peak hours.
• Public transport is the best way of getting to Columbia Rd, parking around the market is very limited. There are a number of train stations nearby and so you will have a lot of options.
