The last few days have been sporty for me. Last Saturday I had the privilege of going to Lords Cricket ground to see some legends play in a match to celebrate the bicentenary (200 years) of Lords (the home of cricket). The match was between the MCC and the Rest of the World and was jammed packed with legends including Shane Warne, Sachin Tendulkar, Brett Lee, Yuvraj Singh, Brian Lara, Aaron Finch, Kevin Pietersen and Paul Collingwood to name just a few.
It was a great game which saw the MCC team win by seven wickets.
Full teams:
MCC: Sachin Tendulkar, Aaron Finch, Brian Lara, Rahul Dravid, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Chris Read, Daniel Vettori, Brett Lee, Umar Gul, Saeed Ajmal, Shaun Tait.
Rest of the World: Adam Gilchrist, Virender Sehwag, Tamim Iqbal, Kevin Pietersen, Yuvraj Singh, Shahid Afridi, Paul Collingwood, Peter Siddle, Tino Best, Shane Warne, Muttiah Muralitharan
On Monday a group of us ventured to the Olympic Park to watch stage 3 of the Tour de France (between Cambridge and London). The atmosphere was amazing with the streets packed full of people. I knew the cyclists would be travelling fast, but I was not prepared for how fast they actually passed by; it was just a blur of colours. We waited about 3 hours and all the cyclists had passed through in just a few minutes, but it was so worth the wait.
