The Shard

Last week, the time came to attempt to go up the Shard for a second time. Thankfully the weather was a lot better than the first time we attempted to visit, and we were optimistic that we would get to see some great views of London.

So my mum, my brother and myself made the short trip to London Bridge where this time round we were very happy to be able to see the top of the Shard as we exited the tube station :)

The views from the top of the Shard were amazing! Living in London you get caught up in all the hustle and bustle and forget how lovely London is and how lucky you are to live here. We were able to get 360 degree views of London, from as far west as Wembley to the Dartford Crossing all the way out in the east.

We visited just before sunset, and so were able to enjoy the views during the daytime, at sunset and then in the dark - I would really recommend this to everyone, as you get a completely different view of London at these various times. In the end we had to tear ourselves away to come home, after nearly two hours of enjoying the views.

I like this is my fave pic :)

Top tip - the 72nd viewing level is out in the open and so make sure you take something warm to wear as it can be quite chilly. After almost an hour of taking photos on the 72nd level I was close to not being able to feeling my fingers - ok this may be a slight exaggeration but it was rather cold and I was very glad for the coat I had taken.

I know the tickets are quite expensive to visit the top of the Shard, but I would definitely recommend it, even if you have lived in London all your lives :)
