A tradition that my friend Becky and I have is that every year we go to the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at the Natural History Museum. The exhibition showcases the 100 award winning photographs, and they are all stunning. My faves are always the weather and Northern Lights related photographs, but this year there were so many amazing photographs it was difficult to pick just one favourite.
The photographs are not only stunning they are also inspiring, especially those that were taking by the under 16s. If you visit the exhibition you will see amazing photographs taken by girls and boys of as young as 8 and 9 years old.
Not only do you get to see the wildlife photography you also get to visit the stunning building that is the Natural History Museum, which is one of my favourite buildings in London (if not the UK). The museum is free to visit and has so many brilliant exhibitions, from dinosaurs to my favourite volcanoes and geology.
We visited at the end of November and so we also got to enjoy the Christmas lights that adorn the ground of the museum (you can also go ice skating at the Natural Museum too around Christmas too).
The Wildlife Photographer of the year exhibition runs at the Natural History Museum until 30th August 2015.
