I know we are now in 2015, but I still have a few adventures I want to post on this blog from last year, so here goes.
I love those random days when you just stumble across great things to do, and my mum and I had one of those days back in September.
We decided to go and see the poppies at the Tower of London, that were there to remember all those that died in the First World War (there will be a post on this later). We then walked along the River Thames to London Bridge, where we crossed over the river and went to Borough Market to get some lunch and balsamic onions (a massive fave in our house). We then decided that as it was a lovely sunny day we would walk back along the river towards Tower Bridge. As we were walking along the river we came across a free festival, that had live music and stalls. There was even a stall where we could make free flower hand bands, which was amazing.
In the evening we ventured to the Olympic Park to see the semi final and final of the Wheelchair Basketball at the Invictus Games in the Copperbox Arena. If you don't know what the Invictus Games is, it was an international sporting event for wounded serviceman and women. The atmosphere there was amazing and it was very inspiring, and even better Team GB won the gold medal.
All in all it was a brilliant day!
